Cut my heart out, then please leave it beating on the kitchen floor

I am falling
Or have I fallen
Now set to the water
At the will of the sea
You like anemone with your stinging
Poison nematocysts piercing my flesh, cnidarian with carnal desire
You may tear away at my facade
But you will never reach my heart
It is set under a mountain of stone
I placed them there one heart break at a time until my heart lay buried
You may dig but you will never find
That satisfaction in loving me
Only those who can instigate waves
Like a deep earth quake to break into
The other side.
My heart is under pressure to survive.
Deep breathe, long stare, we kiss
But I feel nothing as my soul hides
Among long shadow and deep crevice.
What of this feudal place, where gods live among men?
Landlords or the colonial power of a slick mans pen.
Forced to be something less than more.
Cut my heart out, then please leave it beating on the kitchen floor.
